Welcome him back

Ed Sheeran fans haven’t heard anything new from him since his hit song “The A Team” as well as his first album Plus. Diehard fans were beginning to wonder if they would hear anything from Ed Sheeran ever until he recently released his single “Thinking Out Loud” staying on the charts top 40 for nineteen weeks before reaching number one and beating the catchy song “Uptown Funk” and mellow single “See you again”. This is his second single, the first being “Don’t,” which was at number one in six months.

Sheeran has spent three years working on this album and has been writing nonstop to make it something he can be proud of. “Thinking Out Loud” is a love song that people embrace because it is about eternal love. Sheeran writes,  “Darling I will be loving you till we’re seventy; Baby my heart can still fall as hard at twenty three.” “Don’t” is a song about heartbreak where people can sing along, throwing their hands in the air and secretly planning their revenge on their exes.

In thirty-nine weeks Sheeran sold two million copies in the U.K. He is the fifth artist to achieve this feat this decade. As well, he sells out venues in under an hour. This album has readied Sheeran for his next move.

Fans have fallen in love with Ed Sheeran’s  honesty in his music and the gentleness of his voice. Sheeran is taking the world by storm.

Ed Sheeran, one man show and bare minimalist: what has made fans fall in love with this ginger is his honesty. When asked if he wrote for his fans,  he replied “ No, I am a very selfish writer. I write for me and if people like the songs, they like them.” His honest response and laid back personality makes Sheeran very relatable as well as likable. People have often said  “ Ed Sheeran understands women more than they do.” His music is about love, heartbreak as well as overcoming the critics, whom he refers to as “having an enemy.”
