On Monday, May 22nd, in Manchester, England, American pop icon, Ariana Grande was leaving the stage when a suicide bomb exploded. The bomb killed at least twenty-two of Grande’s fans and left more than fifty others wounded.
The bomb was ruled as a terrorist attack and ISIS has taken credit for the suicide bomber’s actions.
Ariana Grande was not injured; however, her emotional anguish leaves her suffering. Grande tweeted after the concert saying:
¨broken. from the bottom of my heart, i am so so sorry. I don’t have words.¨
It was reported that Grande had officially put her “Dangerous Woman” tour on hold due to the attack. She was scheduled to perform at the O2 in London Thursday and Friday and canceled all upcoming events until June 5th.
¨We mourn the lives of children and love ones taken by this cowardly act…We ask all of you to hold the victims, their families, and all those affected in your hearts and prayers,” wrote, Scooter Braun, Grande’s manager.
Since the bombing Grande reached out to the families of the victims and offered to pay for the funeral expenses. Grande is reportedly back with her family and boyfriend, Mac Miller in Florida, mourning the loss of her fans.
Grande’s mom, Joan, speaks out on the attack. She tweeted on Thursday:
“This past week I have spent in reflective thought, prayer & deep sorrow, I join my daughter in extending my help & services to all those affected by the diabolical act of terror which occurred in Manchester!”
