After going MIA once her tour ended in December Ariana Grande has released her new single overnight on April 20th after teasing the release on Instagram with a caption of the track’s name written upside down – “No Tears Left to Cry”.

On April 24th Grande posted on Twitter after a long silence on  social media. She tweeted miss you, giving fans an expectation on the upcoming music video of her new single.

Grande’s absence from social media was decided shortly after the tragedy that happened at her concert in Manchester; she involuntarily became the center of the tragedy because it was her concert.

Her last post before going MIA was on Instagram and informed her fans that she would see them next year. She hasn’t made an appearance since she teased her new song.

‘’No Tears Left to Cry’’ indirectly deals with the attack and highlights her new positive mindset.

Lyrics in the song “Right now I’m in a state of mind/ I wanna be in like all the time/ Ain’t got no tears left to cry/ So I’m pickin’ it up, I’m pickin’ up / I’m lovin’, I’m livin’, I’m pickin’ it up/ Oh I just want you to come with me/ We’re on another mentality/ Ain’t got no tears left to cry/ So I’m pickin’ it up, I’m pickin’ up / I’m lovin’, I’m livin’, I’m pickin’ it up.”  

The lyrics send the message that she has mourned but is now moving forward.

The video for the song is a connection to Manchester and that moment in her life and everyone’s that it has touched being so disorienting.

The video ends with a worker bee as a tribute to Manchester.   

The song over all is uplifting and sends a positive message to her fans that was very needed and anticipated.
