Forty-eight-year-old Titanic star, Leonardo DiCaprio, is facing major backlash for his alleged relationship with nineteen-year-old model, Eden Polani. Sadly, this isn’t too surprising in Hollywood.

Throughout his dating years, DiCaprio is notorious for dating younger women. Most of whom don’t even make it past twenty-five before he trades them in! Seeing as though he’s a forty-eight-year-old man, this doesn’t look too great for him. The man has questionable standards.

Social media became suspicious of DiCaprio’s taste after noticing his pattern of dating women when they were under twenty-five and breaking up with them soon after their twenty-fifth birthday. Bridget Hall, Naomi Cambell, Kristen Zeng, Heliana Christensen, Amber Valletta, and Eva Herzigova are few of the many girls that have been put through his cycle. American actress and DiCaprio’s ex, Camila Morrone, turned twenty-five on June 16, 2022 and have been said to be linked to DiCaprio since 2017. In August of 2022, a month after her birthday, the couple split up. Interesting, right?

But this isn’t the first time concerning trends as such have been observed in the celebrity industry.

In 2018, at the Emmys awards, Millie Bobby Brown, the “Stranger Things” star said (referring to Drake a Canadian rapper), “I love him… He’s honestly a great friend and a great role model. You know we text. We just texted the other day and he was like ‘I miss you so much, and I was like ‘I miss you more.’”

Although this doesn’t exactly prove an inappropriate relationship between the two, some people were concerned about the relationship that was being shown due to the eighteen-year age gap. Brown being thirteen at the time, and Drake, thirty-one.

Sia, singer of the hit song, “Chandelier” has also been outed by fans for her suspicious behavior towards Lifetime’s “Dance Mom’s” star, Maddie Zeigler.

In 2014, Zeigler was asked by Sia to star in her music video. Zeigler was twelve, and Sia, thirty-nine. From here on, their relationship grew.

In an interview on Siris XM’s “Fierce: Women In Music,” the “Chandelier” singer explained that she felt an instant connection with Zeigler, and how she experienced the love of which a mother would feel for their “firstborn” child with the “Dance Mom’s” star.

Sia also added that she’s grateful for Zeigler’s mom, who “shares” Maddie with her.

Zeigler’s mom, Melissa Gisoni, said that the two would “snuggle” with each other at sleepovers hosted by Sia.

In an interview with Stuff, Gisoni said, “They’re like sisters, I love how they snuggle together.” 

Excuse me?

This definitely raised eyebrows of fans because a thirty-nine-year-old snuggling with a twelve-year-old, who’s not even a family member, is extremely weird.

In the same interview Sia described her time with the “Dance Mom’s” star as “family time.” She explained that if the two are ever out and get stopped by the paparazzi, in protection of Zeigler, Sia would tell them, “‘We’re not doing photos today’ or ‘Actually we’re just having family time.’”

That definitely speaks for itself.

Behaviors like these are frequently observed in Hollywood, and unfortunately, likely excused.

Although neither, DiCaprio, Drake, and Sia have been proven to be inappropriately into people significantly younger than them, their behavior and relationships they have had with those who are significantly younger are flat out weird.

DiCaprio spoke to Rolling Stone in 2016, in response to the question if he would ever like to have any kids, he said, “Do you mean do I want to bring kids into a world like this?” So clearly, he isn’t looking to have any children which may be why he won’t date anyone past twenty-five. Once women reach that age, a lot of them are looking to settle down and have children, which is something that DiCaprio isn’t looking for. But my only question is, why date twenty-year-olds, who are possibly looking for something serious, instead of women his own age who also don’t want kids?
