Coach faces termination for inappropriate act

In American culture, the coach, like the teacher, police officer and pastor, should serve as an ideal role model and mentor. But according to a spokesman March 19th 2017, Jim Sharkey a coach at Ferris High School in New Jersey exposed himself at a football camp in Cataldo, Idaho using a hot dog bun .

Teammates were enjoying a barbeque while the coach was grilling hot dogs and Coach said “ You think that is a big dog , look at this ! “ and turned around with his genitalia in the hot bun .

After a Ferris player came forward and reported the incident, Sharkey  denied the accusations at first calling them a “complete lie.” He was also accused of calling one of the cheerleaders a “Puck Bunny.”

He was suspended in February but is currently still being investigated.

In another story, according to ABC News Serra High school three coaches dressed up in blackface for halloween and were suspended for two days without pay. Later one coach apologized for the “joke” and was allowed to go back to work

According to Business Insider  there’s a teacher in England who was fired from her teaching job because she was a model as a past job and the school system felt it damaged the school reputation.

Despite an eleven-year coaching and teaching career, it seems Sharkey is facing eventual termination.  Maybe that is a good thing.
