The Paris where Kim Kardashian was robbed.

Kim Kardashian’s recent robbery has surprisingly become more controversial than anyone expected- then again, she is a Kardashian.

The thirty-five-year-old star was robbed at gunpoint on October 3rd, where over $10 million dollars worth of jewelry was taken from her Paris hotel room, including her brand new $4 million dollar ring from husband, rapper Kanye West.

Kim claims she was in her hotel room alone after coming back from dinner, when suddenly five men dressed in police jackets and ski masks tied her up, gagged her and put her in the bathtub before stealing her jewelry.

One of the key witnesses in the robbery is the hotel’s concierge, who claims to have been handcuffed and forced to unlock Kim’s hotel room door, where he watched the five men complete the robbery.

Kim told police she even had a conversation with the concierge in the midst of it all, asking him, “Are we gonna die?” to which he responded, “I don’t know.”

After the incident, Kim claimed the concierge was “too calm” during the robbery, and in response, he sent her a letter:

“When you feel the cold steel of the gun at your neck, it is the moment when remaining calm can mean the difference between life or death, both our lives. I hope you are feeling better.”.

One of many arousing questions behind the ordeal includes the absence of her bodyguard during the incident.

Pascal Duvier was accompanying Kim’s sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, dutifully protecting them for the time being as Kim had been thought to be safe in her hotel room for the night.

Duvier, Kim’s then and current bodyguard is not responsible for neglecting her safety, and, though the family has immediate plans to increase their security, he will continue to work for the Kardashian-Jenners.

Many also speculate the incident is an inside job, considering the No Address Hotel’s apparent maximum security. Then again, a former guest of multiple occasions says, “Security is close to zero”.

“I would say it’s either an inside job or publicity stunt. That hotel is so secure, somebody must have tipped them off that she was alone inside, or shown them in a way.” says Steve Stanulis, Kim’s former bodyguard.

Kim has reportedly continued to not be doing so well as the days go on, and on a new episode of Ellen, Khloe Kardashian is the first to come out in regards to her sister’s experience being tied up, gagged, and thrown in her bathtub.

“I think it’s just a wake-up call for a lot of life adjustments,” she says. “We want to make sure we are protected as well as possible. Like I said, we are a family and we will do this together and I think it is important to maybe make those adjustments. And to pull back a little bit is always smart.”

As for the case being closed, the Paris Investigative Team and police are still searching for clues as to who the five men were, and how they were so successful.
