A new diet trend is dangerously unhealthy

The Cinderella Diet is a new dangerous diet people around the world are attempting. The goal is to get your body mass index to 18, which is dangerously low and can result in death. The goal of this diet is to get to a Cinderella-like figure, you know…as in the animated fictional Disney princess.

The goal is completely unrealistic and dangerously unhealthy and if you do manage to get your BMI that low then you would be considered underweight and potentially facing death, is a slimmed really figure worth your life?

In order to receive the “magical” number dieters must calculate their height in meters, square it, and multiply that number by 2.2.  Bippity, boppity, boo they have a brand new unrealistic weight goal to help lower their self esteem.

The internet fad originated in Japan where is became popular and made its way overseas to women all over the world, women who feel that their weight is less than perfect and the pressure to have the “perfect” body type are the main victims of this nightmarish trend.

Not only will this ridiculous trend lower dieters’ esteem but can also seriously damage their bodies.

“This is not a diet but an unrealistic goal for body size/weight that can damage your health,”  states Gina Kealty, a New York based certified dietitian nutritionist.

There is a whole range of harm this can cause to a dieter’s body, more than a fairy godmother can possibly fix, impaired immune system, vitamin deficiency, osteoporosis, and malnutrition are just a few of these issues.

Looks like you’ll need a hospital gown rather than a ball gown.

“It perpetuates being skinny is better…[but]…[b]eing underweight, is just as bad as being overweight,” stated Kealt. Being healthy is one thing, curves are natural and your body should be embraced as is.

If Prince Charming only wants a girl who is becoming malnourished and disfigured just to obtain and “ideal image” than screw him, your Prince Charming should want you for you.
