Trump foolishly sues California over immigration

According to thehill.com, “Last week President Trump threatened to withdraw Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection personnel from the State of California because of the ‘lousy management job’ by state and local officials in enforcing the Nation’s immigration laws.“

On Monday a bill was passed where California is a Sanctuary state and that’s when Donald Trump made his comments.

The reaction to the to the president’s comments regarding if ICE officers were taken away that crime rates will go up in California so he’s indicating that immigrants will start committing crimes, which isn’t the truth.

“In fact, immigrants (regardless of citizenship status) are less likely to engage in violent criminal activity then those born and raised in the U.S.”

Many immigrants say far away from such violent and dangerous crimes due to the fear of being deported and taken away from their family

“President Trump claimed that if ICE agents were withdrawn from California, “you would see crime like nobody has seen in this country.”  

The Trump Administration is suing California over immigration laws. According to nytimes.com a quote from Attorney General Jeff Sessions  “The Department of Justice and the Trump administration are going to fight these unjust, unfair and unconstitutional policies that have been imposed on you.”

Attorney General Jeff Sessions planned to say on Wednesday, March 7 at a law enforcement event in Sacramento, according to prepared remarks. “I believe that we are going to win.”

According to nytimes, “ Both Mr. Sessions and Mr. Trump have threatened to pull federal grant money from cities and states that have sanctuary laws to protect undocumented immigrants. They argue that the policies flout federal laws and help criminals evade deportation. “
