Learning about elephants

Elephants live in parts of sub-Saharan Africa. Asian elephants live in areas of India and Southeast Asia. 

Elephants consume grasses, small plants, bushes, fruit, twigs, tree bark, and roots. 

Elephants have tusks, teeth made of ivory, that help them get food and carry heavy objects. 

Elephants are the world’s largest land animal. Male African elephants can reach 3 meters tall and can weigh between 4,000 -7,500kg.
