Pro Bowl rosters announced

On Sunday, January 28th, the NFL will be hosting its 67th Pro Bowl game in Orlando, Florida. The Pro Bowl festivities will contain an event on Thursday at 7p.m. called the Skills Challenge as well as the traditional game on Sunday.

On Thursday the 25th, the players’ weekend will kick off with the Skills Challenge. The Pro Bowl Skills Challenge will contain  7 AFC players and 7 NFC players who will compete in position-specific challenges.

Events are Epic Pro Bowl dodgeball containing the full 7 versus 7 teams, so every player from either side will be participating – with no goals but to win and have fun.

Next, the NFL Power Relay Challenge, where each sides strongest and fastest players make their way through a obstacle relay race. Teams of 4 will be representing their conferences in the power relay.

Later on there will be the Quarterback Precision Passing Challenge. Where 2 quarterbacks from each conference will see how many points they can acquire by trying to hit marker point targets.

Finally the Best Hands Challenge where duos from either conference will see which receivers have the best hands and the quickest feet. The duos will be attempting to complete as many passes by the end of the alloted time to win the challenge.

On Sunday the players will finally be padded up for the Pro Bowl game. Before the game, Legends Captains will represent their teams. 2 for each conference, each representing offense or defense. These include Derrick Brooks, Warrick Dunn, Jason Taylor and LaDainian Tomlinson.

This year’s teams will have a total of 27 replacement players, covering those either injured or participating in this years Super Bowl. They will be participating on their behalf.

All Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown was this years only unanimously voted in player amongst GMs, players, and coaches. The receiver had 101 receptions going for a season total of 1,533 yards and 9 touchdowns in his 2017-18 season.  Brown will be participating for the 6th time in his career. While AB is striving for greatness, his team also is by leading the league with 8 total Pro Bowl selections.

Although he is injured and will not be able to participate due to a torn ACL suffered against the LA Rams , Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz was selected to participate in his very first Pro Bowl. This was given on the heels of a franchise record 33 touchdown season for the second year QB.

The Saints have also made their claim to history by being the first team in 42 years to send a pair of running backs to the Pro Bowl. Rookie Alvin Kamara will make his first appearance, and veteran Mark Ingram will make his second.
