On September 22, the highly anticipated iPhone X will be available for purchase through pre-ordering.

The iPhone X is available with great new features. On September 12 in the Steve Jobs Theatre in Apple Park, the iPhone 8 was released along with its big brother the iPhone X by senior vice president of Software Engineering Craig Federighi.

The most distinguishing new feature is Face ID. Face ID biometric authentication system is a security system that creates a safer way than a password to protect the phone.

Although Federighi ran into a glitch when he introduced Face ID and it failed to authenticate, he stands behind the appeal of the new feature.

“Now everyone’s worried because they can’t imagine life without Touch ID. We’re going to see exactly the same thing with Face ID,” said Federighi.

The iPhone X comes with Super Retina Display and a screen that measures 5.8 inches. Super Retina Display 2436,which is the number of pixels found in this screen. It is a major gap since iphones leading up to this only have 750. Therefore users will have  having a better picture and video experience.

The camera system on the iPhone X is more like a photography studio.The phone features body and face detection, portrait mode, and 1080p hdr recording.

Apple has also chosen to replace the Home button with more screen icons.

The iPhone X is currently available for preorder with a starting price of $999 for the base model or $1,149.00 for upgraded memory, surgical grade, stainless steel, water and dust proof screen, and wireless charging.
